Recently, Serbian news portals carried a story saying that solar panels will be allowed wherever they can be used, and that a large number of small producers could together create one virtual large generator of renewable energy. This should become possible through a new energy efficiency law that is expected soon, and it could trigger a real boom in solar panel use and solar technology.
This topic is especially interesting for us because China is the world’s largest solar panel producer and a leader in renewable energy generated through solar systems.
China is a highly industrialized country. Its massive industry requires huge amounts of energy, so China is also one of the world’s biggest polluters.
According to 2013 studies, 7 out of the 10 most polluted cities in the world were in China.
Chinese authorities have recognized this problem and have guided the country’s development toward clean and renewable energy through its five-year development plans. That is why it is no surprise that China leads the world in the production and use of electric cars, as well as in the use of electricity from renewable sources.
By the end of June 2019, more than 3.5 million electric vehicles were on China’s roads.
China is the largest producer of solar panels and related equipment used to generate electricity from the sun.
Today, seven of the ten largest solar panel manufacturers are based in China, or eight if you include the Canadian company Canadian Solar, which makes its panels in China.
According to 2019 data, the largest solar panel manufacturers are:
- LONGi Solar (China)
- JinkoSolar (China)
- JA Solar (China)
- Trina Solar (China)
- Canadian Solar (Canada)
- Hanwha Q-CELLS (South Korea)
- Risen Energy (China)
- Astroenergy (China)
- First Solar (USA)
- Suntech (China)
These rankings are based on the total volume of solar panels the companies ship. A company being at the top of the list does not necessarily mean it offers the best-quality panel, but it does tell us a lot about the price-to-quality ratio.
According to data from the end of 2020, the three largest solar panel manufacturers in the world are JinkoSolar, JA Solar, and Trina Solar, in that order.
The biggest American companies in the solar industry are Sunrun and Tesla.
But what is the problem with these biggest companies? They are so large that they do not even handle small requests. We contacted most of them, but never received any response.
The video below probably shows why that is:
In the video, you can see one of the largest solar power plants in the world. This park is located in the Gobi Desert and was put into operation in 2018. It covers an area of about 609 km2, which is roughly the size of Singapore.

Bluesun
For the reasons above, we chose Bluesun as our solar panel partner from among many smaller companies. After a short exchange of messages, we visited them and saw firsthand how they work, how large the factory is, and how serious the operation is.
This company provides excellent support. Whenever we contact them, they are always there to help and solve any problem. On top of that, this company was already the TOP 1 Alibaba supplier back in 2013.

Solar energy - the energy of the future
Solar power is widely seen as the energy of the future, so it is no surprise that Trump’s administration introduced a tariff embargo, or high import tax, on panels from China to the U.S. in early 2018.
Some people say that if the Sahara Desert were covered with solar panels, there would be enough electricity for the entire planet.
China’s progress in new technology is also shown by the fact that it plans to launch the first installation for generating electricity from the sun in space by 2025.
Of course, that sounds like science fiction to us, but there are already products that may be more practical and interesting for everyday use. Most people are familiar with small garden solar lamps sold in local stores, which collect energy during the day and light up at night.
But the range of solar-powered products is much broader. You may have already seen solar backpacks, solar lamps, solar chargers, and solar umbrellas…
Some of these products are available on our website. You may have seen solar-powered cars, bikes, and more. The possibilities are almost endless.
Gabriel Group has contacts and partnerships with several companies that deal in solar panels, inverters, mounting equipment, cables, and all other related components needed to set up a complete installation, whether on a roof or on the ground.
If you import panels or work with solar panel installation, contact us — we can probably help you.
