China Autumn Fair 2020

The Ministry of Commerce of China held a regular press conference on September 10.
Ministry spokesman Gao Feng presented information on the upcoming 128th Canton Fair.
What is most interesting to us is that the 128th China Autumn Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, will be held virtually online from October 15 to 24.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, for the first time this fair had an online virtual edition in the period June 15-24, 2020.
According to the rules of keeping distance and avoiding contact, it was decided that the autumn fair will also have its own online edition.

About the Canton Fair

The Canton Fair for Import and Export, also known as the Canton Fair, was founded in 1957.
The founders are the Ministry of Commerce of the PRC and the People's Government of Guangdong Province, and organized by the China Center for Foreign Trade.
Held every spring and autumn in Guangzhou, China.
The Canton Fair is a comprehensive international trade event with the longest history, the largest scale, the most complete exhibition assortments, the largest customer attendance, and the largest business turnover in China.

To this day, 63 years after its establishment, reforms and development, the Canton Fair has never been interrupted.
It represents a great chance for Chinese companies and is their basis for starting and growing foreign trade and exports.
The Guangzhou Fair serves as the first and most important platform for the promotion of China's foreign trade and is a barometer of the foreign trade sector.
It represents the embodiment and symbol of the opening of China.

Concluding with last year, thus until the 126th fair, the accumulated volume of exports amounted to about 1.4126 trillion USD, and the total number of foreign buyers reached 8.99 million.
The exhibition space of the fair is 1,185 million㎡, and the number of exhibitors from the country and abroad is almost 26,000.
Every year, around 400,000 buyers attend the fair from more than 210 countries and regions around the world.

127. spring fair that took place in the period 15-24.06.2020. and was the first virtual fair caused by the corona pandemic.
It saw 26,000 Chinese and international exhibitors present their products and conduct online negotiations via virtual means.
Buyers from 217 countries and regions registered and visited the fair in this way.
The virtual Canton Fair started a new way of developing international trade and laid the foundation for the development of this type of business on the Internet.

What can be seen at the fair?

The fair has products categorized into 16 categories that are located in 50 exhibition sections. In principle, you can find everything you can think of.
If you have ever been there, you know how big it is and it is simply impossible to go around and see everything in a couple of days.
If you intend to visit it, go with a goal, that is, to know what you want to buy.
Don't decide on the spot, like, I'll know what I'm going to buy when I see it, because then you probably won't do anything.
