As many media outlets in Serbia reported yesterday, Serbia launched a direct air route between Belgrade and Guangzhou in the People’s Republic of China with flight JU988 at 00:20.
Flights between Belgrade and Guangzhou will operate twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays, using Airbus A330-200 aircraft from Air Serbia’s long-haul fleet, the Serbian national carrier said.
Air Serbia will fly to Guangzhou twice a week, and the Chinese airline will also operate two flights a week, for a total of four flights per week. A direct route to Shanghai is also expected soon.
What matters for the business world is the importance of Guangzhou and Guangdong province, which is China’s strongest region in economic terms.
