On November 25, 2020, the General Office of the State Council of China released its official holiday schedule for 2021.

Traditionally, the holiday schedule includes two major holidays: the Spring Festival (also known as Chinese New Year) and the National Day holiday in the People's Republic of China.

In 2021, the Spring Festival is observed from February 11 to February 17, and the National Day holiday in the People's Republic of China runs from October 1 to October 7.

According to the Chinese calendar, Chinese New Year falls on Friday, February 12, 2021. That day marks the beginning of the Year of the Ox.
